About Dr. Michele
Paterno

Dr. Michele C. Paterno graduated from Temple
University School of Dentistry with honors and
academic awards. After becoming a general dentist,
Dr. Paterno continued her educat ion and graduated
from Temple University’s orthodontic specialty
program also with top
honors and holds a Master’s degree in which her
thesis in cleft palate care was published in the
Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal.
Prior to receiving her DMD she graduated Cum Laude
from Thomas Jefferson University with her Bachelor
of Science degree in dental hygiene. Dr. Paterno has
been in the practice of orthodontics and dento-facial
orthopedics since 1992 and is a Board Certified
Orthodontist treating children, teenagers and
adults.
Dr. Paterno is a specialist in orthodontics for
teenagers and adults using “Invisalign,” (clear
removable braces), clear and traditional braces and
Damon System braces. She strives for excellence and
to stay current with technology and new procedures
to help provide wonderful results. She has been
named in South Jersey Magazine’s list of “Top
Dentists.”
As
an active member in several professional
organizations including the American Association of
Orthodontics, American Dental Association, New
Jersey Dental Association and the American Cleft
Palate-craniofacial Association, Dr. Paterno
lectures to other dentists and dental professionals,
residency and study club programs.
Dr. Paterno not only provides orthodontic treatment
and services in her own practice but is a member of
the cleft palate team at the Southern New Jersey
Regional Cleft/craniofacial Program, Cleft Palate
Center at Cooper Hospital. She is a part of the team
to help children get ready for surgical procedures
and is a part of their overall care.
Dr. Paterno enjoys being part of the community and
spending time with her wonderful son and family.
